January 5, morning -- Incident #1 -- medical call in Filing 1 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter and Special Duty Responders staged to provide traffic control or lead-in if necessary.
January 5, evening -- Incident #2 -- medical call in Filing 1 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter and Special Duty Responders staged to provide traffic control or lead-in if necessary.
January 8, morning -- Incident #3 -- motor vehicle accident on 73C -- CLVFD personnel responded to a two-car injury accident at 73C and Modoc Ct, where our medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stabilized the vehicles and ensured that there were no fluids leaking and no fire hazard. Special Duty Responders provided traffic control around the scene, as it was necessary to entirely block 73C until the patients had been transported via RFLVFD's ambulance. State Patrol took over the scene at that point, relieving CLVFD responders, and managed access and traffic control until tow trucks could arrive to remove the vehicles.
January 12, evening -- Incident #4 -- medical call in Filing 8 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter and Special Duty Responders staged to provide traffic control or lead-in if necessary.
January 17, pre-dawn -- Incident #5 -- medical call in Filing 8 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter and Special Duty Responders staged to provide traffic control or lead-in if necessary.
January 19, morning -- Incident #6 -- possible gas leak in Filing 14 -- CLVFD firefighters responded to reports of a strange odor/possible gas leak at a house in Filing 14. Responders were unable to locate any sign of gas using gas meters and stood down, advising the property owner to have propane-using appliances checked by a technician to be safe and to call 911 again if they smelled the odor again.
January 23, evening -- Incident #7 -- service call in Elkridge -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist a disabled property owner with a water main break, causing flooding. Responders were able to get the water shut off and stop the flooding so the homeowner could arrange for later repair.
February 8, pre-dawn -- Incident #8 -- community assistance call -- CLVFD personnel responded to the report of a person lost in the vicinity of Crystal Lakes and stuck in the snow. Responders tracked the lost party down and got him (though not the vehicle) extricated and removed to a safe location.
February 8, morning -- Incident #9 -- medical call at Beaver Meadows -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter and Special Duty Responders staged to provide traffic control or lead-in if necessary.
February 14, morning -- Incident #10 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist Red Feather Lakes VFD with a motor vehicle accident call where a power pole was involved. Ultimately, RFLVFD responders determined they did not need additional assistance and stood CLVFD responders down.
February 17, morning -- Incident #11 -- medical call in Filing 1 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter and Special Duty Responders staged to provide traffic control or lead-in if necessary.
February 20, evening-- Incident #12 -- motor vehicle accident near Beaver Meadows -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter (which was ultimately unable to fly due to weather) and Special Duty Responders provided traffic control around the landing zone and scene.
February 21, pre-dawn -- Incident #13 -- medical call in Filing 8 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter and Special Duty Responders staged to provide traffic control or lead-in if necessary.
February 21, morning -- Incident #14 -- motor vehicle accident on 73C -- A CLVFD firefighter arrived on scene soon after an MVA on 73C and called it in to emergency services. After determining that there were no injuries and no further assistance was needed by the parties involved, the firefighter stood down and no other responders were called out.
February 21, morning -- Incident #15 -- medical call at Chapel in the Pines -- CLVFD responders were on scene when a medical incident took place at the Food Pantry and assisted Red Feather Lakes VFD responders in caring for the patient.
March 1, evening -- Incident #16 -- medical call in Filing 3 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter and Special Duty Responders staged to provide traffic control or lead-in if necessary.
March 3, morning -- Incident #17 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist Red Feather Lakes VFD with a grass fire reported to have started from the dumping of ashes. Once RFLVFD responders arrived on scene, they determined that they could control the fire with the resources on hand and stood CLVFD responders down.
March 19, afternoon -- Incident #18 -- medical call in Filing 11 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
March 29, evening -- Incident #19 -- medical call in Filing 8 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
April 13, morning -- Incident #20 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD firefighters were auto-launched to assist Red Feather Lakes VFD with a report of a tree on a powerline that was beginning to smoke. When RFLVFD responders arrived on scene, they determined they had enough resources to deal with the incident and stood CLVFD down.
April 18, evening -- Incident #21 -- medical call in Filing 11 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
April 23, morning -- Incident #22 -- medical call in Filing 10 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
April 27, morning -- Incident #23 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD firefighters were auto-launched to assist Red Feather Lakes VFD with a report of an abandoned campfire at Dowdy Lake campground. When RFLVFD responders arrived on scene, they determined they had enough resources to deal with the incident and stood CLVFD down.
April 30, afternoon -- Incident #24 -- law enforcement assist -- CLVFD members were called upon to assist a Larimer Sheriff's Deputy with a search for a vehicle.
May 1, morning -- Incident #25 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD medical responders responded to assist Red Feather Lakes VFD with a medical call.
May 3, morning -- Incident #26 -- MVA on N. Ottawa -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters established a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
May 10, midday-- Incident #27 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist Red Feather Lakes VFD with a water rescue call that came in during our joint training session.
May 10, evening -- Incident #28 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist Red Feather Lakes VFD with a motor vehicle accident (MVA) that was reported along 67J at a time when most of their department was already responding to another MVA on Manhattan Rd. CLVFD responders were stood down when RFLVFD responders located the incident and determined that no extrication would be necessary.
May 23, evening -- Incident #29 -- medical call in Filing 8 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
May 25, afternoon -- Incident #30 -- fire in Pearl Creek -- CLVFD firefighters responded to reports of smoke in the Pearl Creek area near the burn scar and found a property owner illegally burning slash (Larimer County does not allow slash burning after May 1st, regardless of whether the property owner had previously requested and received a permit for burning). Responders discussed the issue with the property owner and put the fire out, then stood down.
May 30, night -- Incident #31 -- medical call in Filing 2 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters established a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
May 31, morning -- Incident #32 -- community assistance in Filing 2 -- CLVFD firefighters responded to follow up on a fire pit issue reported in Filing 2, found no problem and stood down.
June 1, evening -- Incident #33 -- smoke report south of Crystal Lake -- CLVFD firefighters responded to reports of smoke seen south of the big lake. They ultimately tracked it to an unsafe campfire, which they arranged to have the property owner extinguish before standing down.
June 12, afternoon -- Incident #34 -- mutual aid to GVMVFD -- CLVFD EMTs responded to assist Glacier View Meadows VFD for a medical incident on 74E.
June 16, afternoon -- Incident #35 -- medical call in Filing 13 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
June 17, morning -- Incident #36 -- medical call on 73C -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
June 26, noon -- Incident #37 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD responders were paged out to respond to an emergency alert from an iPhone on Deadman Road. When it was found to have been sent in error, responders stood down.
June 26, afternoon -- Incident #38 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist Red Feather VFD with a rollover accident on 73C near Phantom Ranch Road, assisting with extrication and traffic control.
June 26, evening -- Incident #39 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist Red Feather VFD with a smoke report. No fire was found and all responders stood down.
July 4, evening -- Incident #40 -- medical call in Beaver Meadows -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
July 6, noon -- Incident #41 -- medical call in Filing 10 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.

July 12, evening -- Incident #44 -- medical call in Filing 8 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
July 13, morning -- Incident #45 -- medical call in Filing 3 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
July 17, afternoon -- Incident #46 -- medical call in Beaver Meadows -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
July 21, pre-dawn -- Incident #47 -- medical call in Filing 11 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
July 26, morning -- Incident #48 -- smoke report in Filing 2 -- CLVFD firefighters responded to report of a smoke column spotted in the area of Caddo and Hopewell. The smoke was tracked to an approved firepit and all responders stood down.
July 27, pre-dawn -- Incident #49 -- carbon monoxide call in Filing 13 -- CLVFD firefighters responded to the residence of a property owner whose carbon monoxide detector was going off. Using a gas meter, firefighters were able to determine that the meter was faulty and all responders stood down.
July 28, afternoon -- Incident #50 -- wildland fire at Bellaire Lake -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist Red Feather Lakes VFD firefighters in extinguishing a wildland fire at Bellaire Lake.
July 31, evening -- Incident #51 -- medical call in Filing 2 -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
August 1, evening -- Incident #52 -- medical call at Basecamp -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
August 2, afternoon -- Incident #53 -- medical call at the fire station -- CLVFD medical responders provided patient assessment and care while firefighters stood by in case it was necessary to set up a landing zone for the Lifeline helicopter.
August 3, evening -- Incident #54 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD responders stood by while Red Feather Lakes VFD investigated a smoke report, prepared to assist if a wildfire was discovered. When the smoke was tracked to a campfire, all responders on both departments stood down.
August 8, afternoon -- Incident #55 -- MVA off 80C -- CLVFD medical responders went to scene to assist RFLVFD with an injury motor vehicle accident off of 80C while firefighters stood by in case they were needed.
August 15, afternoon -- Incident #56 -- smoke report in National Forest -- CLVFD firefighters responded to assist in locating the source of smoke reported in the Arapahoe Roosevelt National Forest some distance northwest of Crystal Lakes. A small fire was found and the incident handed off to Forest Service employees.
August 21, afternoon -- Incident #57 -- wildfire off Deadman Rd -- CLVFD firefighters responded to fight a wildfire that had begun in an area off Deadman Rd near Forest Service Road 501. They were joined by Red Feather Lakes VFD, Glacier View VFD, Poudre Canyon VFD, Larimer Emergency Services, and Forest Services units, along with air support from firefighting helicopters. The fire was 25% contained by that night and fully contained within a couple of days due to those efforts and favorable weather conditions.
August 21, evening -- Incident #58 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD medical responders assisted RFLVFD with a medical call on 74E discovered by responders returning from the wildfire off Deadman Road.
August 22, all day -- Incident #59 -- wildfire off Deadman Rd -- CLVFD firefighters returned to assist the Forest Service with fighting the wildfire that started the previous day, running the CLVFD tender in a continuous loop to shuttle water to the scene for firefighting efforts.
August 25, afternoon -- Incident #60 -- smoke report west of Crystal Lakes -- CLVFD firefighters responded to smoke reported west of the Elkridge area. Upon investigating, this smoke was tracked to a campfire.
August 29, afternoon -- Incident #61 -- wires down call in Filing 6 -- CLVFD firefighters responded to a report of power lines down and sparking in the Sixth Filing. Responders ensured there was no chance of fire spread and set up traffic control around the scene until Poudre Valley REA could arrive to repair the lines.
August 30, evening -- Incident #62 -- smoke report north of Filing 3 -- CLVFD firefighters responded to report of smoke sighted north of Blackfoot Road. Responders were able to determine it was coming from a campfire in an approved firepit and stood down.
September 4, evening -- Incident #63 -- mutual aid to RFLVFD -- CLVFD responders stood by while Red Feather Lakes VFD investigated a smoke report, prepared to assist if a wildfire was discovered. When the smoke was tracked to a campfire, all responders on both departments stood down.
